In the White Rose Witches world every fairytale holds a hidden nightmare.
The imagined world is cosy countryside with the conviences of city life just a short drive away. Folklore plays a large part in the creation of this world, from Grimm's collections to Welsh goddesses, Socttish selkies, English black dogs and Irish stories of the fae. Wave after wave of migration and invasion on the shores brought tall stories of legends and heroes, and just like in folk tales, the adversaries aren't to be taken lightly.

I live in Yorkshire and write about witches that inhabit a cosy Yorkshire village with dark undercurrents. The genre is urban fantasy with dark folklore, crossed with romance under the broader fantasy romance genre. Explore the rest of the website for insights into this world.
As I increasingly struggled to fit into the corporate world because of my hearing loss, missing things said in conference rooms and being unable to handle phone calls. I had a thought that I could make a new world to fit around me, if only I was brave enough to submit my work for publication.
I am intrigued by different magical practices, psychology, social anthropology and pre-history. I love abstract and modern art, folk and classical music.
