Although I have written since being small, my stories and poems were mostly a hobby to release a creative side that felt stifled in work.
The White Rose Witches were named after the symbol for Yorkshire, although in early drafts the series was simply referred to as 'A Yorkshire Witch, Evie's story'.
There's no one place that my inspiration comes from. I remember loving fairytales long since I should have outgrown them, and I rarely sided with the good side. Being a villain appeared far more rewarding and fun. We had books on folklore and folktales, my aunt had a book of supernaural scary stories that I loved. I think that was the start of loving how many stories Yorkshire held.
The White Rose Witches are seven best friends, now scattered all over the world. One by one they make their way back to the village that they once called home.
